How long would you say is considered a long field goal for high school?

40? 45? 50? 50+? What is considered to be a pretty long, really impressive field goal for a high school kicker?|||yo i kicked in college my first year... ftball is way different once ur up there, but anyway...





you shouldnt be missing anything below 40. and never missing ExtraPts. If you are wanting to pursue the college kicking thing, make sure you are working on your kickoffs and punting too.. they will be more likely to show interest in you if you can do 2 or 3 of the kicks.





as for being "impressive", my best was 55 without the tee. if you are getting close to 45, 50 with the tee, id say you are doing pretty well|||40 yards is usually a pretty long kick for most highschool kickers. However there are a few that can kick 60's and those are the ones that get grabbed quickly by colleges.|||35 is pretty good and any time someone kicks from 45 plus its amazing|||85 yards|||my dad coached highschool in the 80's and he had a kicker that could consistently kick 50+ yard field goals, and in game situations too, this was when he was a freshman. its a shame though because the kid quit after his sophmore year because his dad was an ***. but a 40-50 yard field goal is impressive for highschool
